Bill Cosby
A Timeline of Bill Cosby's Sexual Assault Scandal
Bill Cosby has been accused of sexual assault by nearly 70 women. He was found guilty of assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004, as well as Judy Huth when she was just 16. After serving roughly 2 years in prison, his conviction was overturned. But it's not because he was innocent. So what happened?
Show Notes:
*This is not an exact transcript, but rather an outline of my notes.
We’re here to talk about Bill Cosby today. I know everybody knows that there are quite a few allegations against him but I’m not sure everyone knows exactly what happened there.
Bill Cosby, as we all know, is a comedian and actor, whose career has spanned decades. Many of us remember him from the Cosby Show or Fat Albert or I, Spy, or even Kids Say the Darndest Things. From the 60’s to the 90’s, many of us grew up with him on tv, and also many of our parents and even our grandparents.
In 2005 and 2014, women started coming forward with accusations that Bill Cosby had drugged and raped them. In fact, some allegations came out before then but nobody was really listening. In 2014, multiple women, like a dozen women, came forward with similar allegations. At the end of the day, Bill Cosby was convicted but he was released after doing like 2 years time. But it’s not because he was deemed to be innocent of the crimes.
So we’re going to investigate a few of these allegations. There are almost 70 women who have come forward so we’re going to do our best to give you the pertinent information without oversaturating with details.
First of all, I highly recommend the documentary We Need to Talk About Cosby. A lot of the survivors spoke on that show as well as a few actors who worked with Cosby, like on the Cosby Show for example.
They really do a great job explaining how we fell in love with Cosby and the complexity of admiring him for the good he’s done while simultaneously accepting the bad things he’s done.
A few things to remember about Bill Cosby before we dive into the allegations. In the 60’s, Bill Cosby got a lead role on a television show called I, Spy. In that era, it was absolutely unheard of for a black person to get a leading role. And not just a leading role, but he played an intelligent black man. Typically, black people were still being cast in the roles of maids and chauffeur and janitors and things like that. And then Bill Cosby was cast on I, Spy as this brilliant man who was eloquent and could speak multiple languages. He really opened up a lot of doors for black actors to start demanding better roles.
Bill Cosby donated a lot of money to colleges and charities too. He did a lot to give back to his community and he knew a lot of important people. He got awards left and right and was highly respected. These are among the reasons that it’s been so difficult for society to accept that he could be capable of the things he’s been accused of.
Also, we all know that society loves to take down black people so a lot of people saw this as just another attempt to like lynch one of their heroes.
We’ll talk about Bill Cosby being a “mentor” to a lot of women, and it gets a little confusing because he was mentoring women who weren’t following the same career path that he had. Like for example, some of the women he mentored include a basketball player, models, and playboy bunnies. I personally couldn’t understand what Bill Cosby could possibly offer them as a mentor, but then I thought about it. I think maybe he didn’t just approach them as a business helper but rather like a father or grandfather who’s concerned about your career, or who’s proud of you and wants to help you succeed. And maybe he told them “I know someone who could get you headshots” or “I’m going to get you in touch with a trainer or a manager” or simply “I have connections with this college or this scholarship”. He had so many connections and so much money, and he seemed so trustworthy that realistically there are a few reasons why one would take his word when he offers to mentor you.
BILL COSBY SEX SCANDAL TIMELINE
LACHELE COVINGTON - 2000
Came forward in March 2000 | Abuse Allegedly took place in January 2000
MARCH 2000 LACHELE COVINGTON
The first allegations that really made big news came in 2005; but there was actually a police report filed prior to that in the year 2000 by a 20 year old actress named Lachele Covington.
Lachele Covington, 20, who has appeared on Cosby’s CBS TV show, filed a police report saying the beloved comedian put her hand under his T-shirt and guided it south toward his sweatpants, the sources said.
But Covington said she pulled her hand away — and that was the end of that. She told Cosby she was leaving and he said, “That’s fine.”
Cops consulted the Manhattan district attorney’s office and decided no crime had been committed because until the very moment Covington pulled her hand away, all actions had been consensual, the sources said.
So cops never questioned — or charged — the comedian.
But since then, Covington’s relatives say Cosby went further — grabbing her breasts, trying to put his hand down her pants and exposing himself.
“Bill Cosby scared her half to death,” said Covington’s grandfather, Charles Keniebrew, the Enquirer reports.
And her father, Joe, told the newspaper: “Lachele ran out of the house. She was traumatized and didn’t even tell her mother for two days.”
Covington had a recurring role as a waitress on The Cosby Show before her relationship with Cosby turned sour.
ANDREA CONSTAND - 2005
Came forward in January 2005 | Abuse Allegedly took place in January 2004
In 2005, a woman named Andrea Constand filed a police report alleging that Bill Cosby had drugged and raped her.
Andrea was a former basketball player at Temple University and went on to work for the team. Cosby, who studied Physical Education (that’s right, he got a degree in P.E.) at Temple in the early ’60s and served on its board of trustees, regularly attended games.
Andrea was introduced to Bill Cosby by a donor. Cosby became her mentor and over the next two years he earned Andrea’s trust and that of her family. Andrea would attend dinner parties and stuff at Cosby’s home. Cosby would later say that he had romantic interest in her from the beginning, but Andrea wasn’t aware of this. She was a lesbian and was in a relationship at that time.
One day in 2004, Andrea visited Bill Cosby and confided in him about her stressful day and how she had a headache, and Bill offered her 3 blue pills. Andrea only took holistic medicine so he was like “yea these are herbal.”
Shortly after taking the pills, Andrea started to get fuzzy and lose control of her muscles. She was semi-conscious as Cosby allegedly touched her breasts and crotched and put her hand on his penis. She woke up around 4am to find her clothing askew. Cosby came in the room wearing a white bathrobe and offered her a muffin.
Andrea had just put in her 2 month notice at her job but in the meantime, she had to keep seeing him from time to time. She said his voice felt like a stab in the gut.
She decided it was time for a career change so left her job and started training to become a massage therapist. A year after the incident, Andrea was having nightmares. She was dreaming that women were being assaulted right in front of her and it was her fault. She was carrying a guilt for not coming forward and worried that other women could become victims, or worse, maybe more women were already victims because she hadn’t come forward.
After a particularly difficult nightmare, she called her mom on her drive to work and spilled everything. “Bill Cosby drugged me and he raped me.”
Andrea went to the police and filed a complaint.
She told Canadian authorities that in 2004 the comedian drugged her with "herbal pills" and then "touched her breasts and vaginal area, rubbed his penis against her hand, and digitally penetrated her”
They did an investigation and then the district attorney decided not to file charges against Cosby. Cosby basically said that there was a consensual encounter and they decided that there wasn’t enough evidence to prosecute him.
In February 2005, shortly after learning he would not be charged, Cosby was asked about Constand’s allegations. “I’m not saying that what I did was wrong,” he told the National Enquirer, “but I apologize to my loving wife, who has stood by my side for all these years, for any pain I have caused her.”
He vowed not to “give in to people who try to exploit me because of my celebrity status.”
TAMARA GREEN - 2005
Came forward in 2005 | Abuse Allegedly took place in 1970's
After learning that charges were not pursued in the case, California lawyer Tamara Lucier Green, the only publicly-named woman in the prior case, came forward with allegations in February 2005 that Cosby had drugged and assaulted her in the 1970s.
Former model, came forward in February 2005 saying he groped and fondled her in her apartment in the 1970s after immobilizing her with what he said was cough medicine.
She alleged that Cosby gave her pills when she was feeling sick at one of his restaurants. Around 30 minutes later, Green said she lost all motor control and was face down in her lunch. "I was very, very, very stoned," she told Today host Matt Lauer.
Cosby then offered to drive her home. He helped her take off her clothes and get into bed and then sexually assaulted her, she said.
"He had gone from helping me to groping me, kissing me, touching me, and handling me," Green said. After she confronted him, Cosby left two $100 bills on her coffee table and left the apartment.
Green said she did not report him to authorities because "the first thing you feel is stupid. And then no one will believe you... this is the great Bill Cosby."
BETH FERRIER (JANE DOE #5) - 2005
Came forward in 2005 | Abuse Allegedly took place in 1970's
Alleged that that in 1984, she was a model when she and cosby had a brief affair. He invited her to his show and when she arrived, he gave her a cappuccino and told her “it’s your favorite.” After she drank it, she became dizzy and lost consciousness, until she woke up hours later in the backseat of her car alone, parked in the alleyway behind the venue. Her clothes were disheveled and her bra was undone. She was confused and disoriented and didn’t remember anything after drinking the coffee. She confronted him after she came to her senses and he told her that she had had too much to drink. But she didn’t drink anything except the coffee.
“A few weeks after I ended things with him, he called me and told me that he was coming to Denver, Colorado, where I resided at the time, to perform at a now-defunct club. I went at his request to see his performance. When I arrived backstage, Mr. Cosby greeted me and handed me a cappuccino, telling me that he had made me "my favorite coffee." After I drank it, I felt dizzy and lost consciousness. The next thing I knew, hours had passed, and I woke up in the back of my car alone. My clothes were a mess; my bra was undone. My car was in the alleyway behind the venue. I felt confused and disoriented. I had no idea what happened to me. The last memory I had was drinking Mr. Cosby's coffee.
“I believe that Mr. Cosby drugged me in order to sexually assault me that night. For years, I did not tell anyone about what he had done to me because I was afraid. I felt threatened by him and I did not think anyone would believe me.”

BARBARA BOWMAN - 2005
Came forward in 2005 | Abuse Allegedly took place in 1985
18 year old aspiring actress in 1985, said Cosby was her mentor and "brainwashed her into viewing him as a father figure."
Bowman said she felt "completely doped up" after Cosby gave her a glass of wine. "He pinned me down in his own bed while I screamed for help," Bowman wrote in a recent article for the Washington Post. "I'll never forget the clinking of his belt buckle as he struggled to pull his pants off. I furiously tried to wrestle from his grasp until he eventually gave up, angrily called me 'a baby' and sent me home to Denver."
Nov. 13, 2014 Bowman, who first publicly accused Cosby of sexual assault in 2006 and was a witness in Constand's lawsuit, wrote an op-ed in The Washington Post titled "Bill Cosby raped me. Why did it take 30 years for people to believe my story?" Two days later, when asked about the charges on NPR's "Weekend Edition," Cosby stays silent.
COSBY SETTLES OUT OF COURT
Fall 2005-Early 2006
Fall 2005 to 2006: During four days of depositions by Constand's attorneys, Cosby testifies the following:
He got drugs to give women for sex, he gave The National Enquirer interview in 2005 to stop Ferrier's previously undisclosed sexual assault allegation from surfacing, he hid the affairs from his wife, and he routed payments to multiple women.
Cosby settled out of court for over $3 million in November 2006.
But more and more women came forward. And before I start, there was this misconception that all the victims were white women and this made people believe again that it was just an attack on the black hero, but in reality, one third of the accusers are women of color.
There are a lot of Jane Does in this, some of whom have been identified and some who have not. I’m going to give brief descriptions but I will link some articles where you can read their full statements.--
And then everything got quiet. Nobody talked about what Bill Cosby did to those women who spoke up. Until 2014.
HANNIBAL BURRESS JOKE CALLS ATTENTION BACK TO RAPE ALLEGATIONS
October 16th, 2014
At a stand-up performance, Hannibal Burress made a joke about Bill Cosby being a rapist. A reporter filmed it on his phone and it went viral, sparking a huge conversation and empowering more women to come forward.
“Bill Cosby has the fuckin’ smuggest old Black man public persona that I hate,” Buress says in the video. “He gets on TV, ‘Pull your pants up, Black people! I was on TV in the ’80s. I can talk down to you because I had a successful sitcom!’ Yeah, but you rape women, Bill Cosby, so turn the crazy down a couple notches. ‘I don’t curse on stage!’ Well, yeah, but you’re a rapist, so…”
Nearly a month after the Buress routine goes viral, prompting fresh accusations, Cosby's public relations team begins a concerted effort to counter the mountain of negative press and social media censure pinballing through cyberspace and launches an online meme generator. In an effort to creatively engage fans online, Cosby posts an invitation on Twitter, writing, "Meme me." Twitter responds with references to the rape claims.
JOAN TARSHIS - 2014
Came forward in 2014 | Abuse allegedly took place in 1969

LINDA JOY TRAITZ - 2014
Came forward in 2014 | Abuse Allegedly took place in early '70's
Nov. 17, 2014 Linda Joy Traitz, a former waitress at a restaurant owned in part by Cosby, wrote a long Facebook post accusing him of trying to drug her in the early '70s.
LINDA JOY TRAITS was working as a waitress in a LA restaurant co-owned by cosby, alleges he drugged and groped her in his car.
JANICE DICKINSON - 2014
Came forward in 2014 | Abuse allegedly took place in 1982
Told jurors she was “rendered motionless” by the pill as Cosby got on top of her in his Lake Tahoe, California, hotel room.
Dickinson, 27 at the time, testified she felt vaginal pain and, after waking up the next morning, noticed semen between her legs. She said she wrote about the assault in her 2002 autobiography, but Cosby and his lawyers pressured her and the publisher to remove details.
THERESE SERIGNESE - 2014
Came forward in 2014 | Abuse allegedly took place in 1976
Nov. 20, 2014 Theresa Serignese comes forward as the seventh woman to accuse Cosby of sexual assault, saying that he drugged and assaulted her in 1976. His attorneys dismiss Serignese's and others' accusations as "decades old, discredited" accounts.
THERESE SERIGNESE
Named in documents as “Jane Doe”. came forward in 11/2014 saying cosby drugged and assaulted her in 1976 when she was 19.
Serignese says she first encountered Cosby in 1976, when she was 19 and he was headlining a show at the Las Vegas Hilton (now the LVH). During a chance encounter at the Hilton gift shop, where Serignese says she was looking at jewelry with her sister, she says that Cosby invited her to see his show. "Somebody came up to me and put their arm around my neck from the back and said: 'Will you marry me?'" Serignese told HuffPost over the phone. "And I turned around to see who it was, and it was Bill Cosby."
After the show she claims she was escorted back to the green room by one of Cosby's people, where she waited around until everyone else had left. Once they were alone together, she says that Cosby held out two white pills and a glass of water, saying, "Here, take these." She did.
"The next memory I have was I was in a bathroom and I was kind of bending forward and he was behind me having sex with me," she said. "I was just there, thinking 'I'm on drugs, I'm drugged.' I felt drugged and I was being raped and it was kind of surreal. My frame of mind was that it would be over soon and I could just get out of there."
Serignese says that her mother encouraged her to call Cosby after she confided in her about the assault, saying, "Well, maybe he'll take care of you." She claims that she did call him, and that Cosby put her up in her own room in the penthouse of the Hilton for about three weeks, until he kicked her out after she had a pregnancy scare. She claims that she continued to have intermittent contact with Cosby over the next 20 years, including at least one subsequent sexual encounter around 1985. She also accepted two payments from him in 1996 after she sustained serious injuries in a car accident, including a $5,000 check from his agent, but she never came forward publicly about the assault for fear that no one would believe her.
"I just tried to forget it. I tried to block it out," she said over the phone. "It doesn't go away but you can make it silent. You can bury it. But all of these times when this stuff comes up, it does make me angry."
CARLA FERRIGNO - 2014
Came forward in 2014 | Abuse allegedly took place in 1967
CARLA FERRIGNO, WIFE OF LOU FERRIGNO 11/2014 (incredible hulk) says in 1967 when she was a teenager, she went on a double date with cosby and his wife, cosby got her alone, grabbed her and kissed her, before she pushed him off and ran back to her date who took her home. (Cosby's about 12 years older than her, for reference.)
Ferrigno was a Playboy bunny in 1966. The next year, after a breakup she was approached by a man who asked if she wanted accompany him and Cosby and Cosby’s wife wife to dinner and then to their house.
Then, “he grabbed me, pulled me to him and kisses me on the mouth like really, really rough,” Ferrigno said. “I was a tough girl. I just took my hands and pushed him away and said, ‘What are you doing?’ and I said ‘Hey, well, I’ve never been kissed by a black man before.'”
When she told him that it was “no different,” Ferrigno said an angered Cosby responded: “Oh yeah? You wouldn’t have said that if it weren’t different.” And he came at me again and I just pushed and jumped and ran and I got out of his way and ran out of the hall and this guy was coming out of one of the rooms and I said I want to go home. … I never said anything to anybody in all these years.”
Ferrigno also claims that Cosby’s wife knows about his behavior. “All my life I thought that. I thought it was disgusting that she stayed with him because she knew,” Ferrigno said.
ANGELA LESLIE - 2014
Came forward in 2014 | Abuse allegedly took place in 1992
Leslie, who was 26 at the time, said she and Cosby were in the kitchen area of his Elvis Presley suite when Cosby asked her to act intoxicated as an acting exercise, and she complied. She said it was at this point he assaulted her.
“I had not been raped. He didn't physically hurt me. He took my hand and put it where it shouldn't have been," Leslie said on TODAY Saturday. "He actually did try to get on top of me, but I was able to push him off and he actually kind of fell onto the floor. And he asked me to leave his room because he pretended to get a phone call. I never heard a phone ring but I think he was embarrassed that I was able to push him down and that's why he dismissed me from his room."

FORMBER NBC EMPLOYEE ADMITS TO PAYING OFF 8 WOMEN TO KEEP THEM QUIET
November 23rd, 2014
A former employee of NBC Entertainment who says he worked for Bill Cosby has come forward to claim he regularly brought young women to Cosby's dressing room. He also says he was asked to send money to multiple women over the years.
Frank Scotti was 90 years old by now. He claimed that as Cosby's right-hand man, it was once his job to guard the door after bringing young women to Cosby's dressing room in Brooklyn, but that he doesn't know what went on behind closed doors.
Scotti says he felt like his pimp and just started to feel like he wasn't who he thought he was.
KRISTINA RUEHLI (JANE DOE #12) - 2014
Came forward in 2014 | Abuse allegedly took place in 1965
“He must have drugged me. There is just one point at which I was having a drink and feeling normal and the next I was somehow passed out completely. He must have slipped something into my drink. It’s the only way to go lights-out like that.”
It was all foggy, and I woke up in the bed. I found myself on the bed, and he had his shirt off. He had unzipped his pants. I was just coming to.
He was attempting to force me into oral sex. He had his hand on my head. He had his cock out, and he had my head pushed close enough to it — I just remember looking at his stomach hair. And the hair on his chest. I had never seen a black man naked before.
And it never went past that. I immediately came to and was immediately very sick. I pushed myself away and ran to the bathroom and threw up. I was feeling really ill. And I never got sick like that from alcohol, at least not that small of an amount.
Once I threw up — it was five in the morning by now, I think — I left the bathroom and he wasn’t there. I don’t know where he went. But I left right away. I was able to drive myself home. I didn’t live that far away.
When Andrea Constand brought her lawsuit against Cosby, I decided to come forward to her attorneys."

VICTORIA VALENTINA - 2014
Came forward in 2014 | Abuse allegedly took place in 1970
A former Playboy Playmate, now 71, alleged that Cosby assaulted her in 1970, shortly after putting “a pill” in her mouth.
According to Valentino, she and friend Meg Foster joined Cosby at a Los Angeles restaurant for dinner, which was the second time Valentino had spent time with him. At the end of the meal, Valentino claims that Cosby offered red pills to both of them.
“He was trying to cheer me up, and he stuck a pill in my mouth,” Valentino said of Cosby, who has faced numerous decades-old rape allegations in recent weeks. “He said, ‘This will make us all feel better.’ “
Both women took the pills, and she was soon “slurring words” and “couldn’t function,” Valentino said. She also told the Post that Cosby promised to take the women home but instead brought them to an apartment located near the Chateau Marmont hotel.
Valentino said that once they got in the apartment Foster passed out. Valentino claimed that the room was spinning and that she was nauseous, at which point she saw Cosby seated near her with an erection.
“I reached out, grabbing him, trying to get his attention, trying to distract him,” Valentino said. “He came over to me and sat down on the love seat and opened his fly and grabbed my head and pushed my head down. And then he turned me over. It was like a waking nightmare.”
She claims she tried to get him to stop but was unable to. She added that Cosby then left the apartment alone and told Valentino to call a cab if she wanted to leave. She said she didn’t go to the police because she didn’t feel she had “credibility.”
In 1996, Playboy Playmate Victoria Valentino gave a videotaped interview in which she made sexual assault allegations against Cosby. The interview was conducted for an exposé on the lives of Playboy models, which was never published
JEWEL ALLISON - 2014
Came forward in 2014 | Abuse allegedly took place in late '80's
Jewel Allison claimed Cosby forced himself upon her after inviting her to dinner and slipping something into her wine, which made her ill. Allison claimed that the night of the dinner party Cosby grabbed her hand and placed it on his genitals.
'That was my sexual assault by this comedian,' she told the New York Daily News. 'He turned me around and said, "Let's get you home". At the door, he gave me a very hard embrace and a hard kiss.'
She remembers vomiting in the back seat of a cab on the way home. Cosby invited her over again but she declined.
SARITA BUTTERFIELD - 2014
Came forward in 2014 | Abuse allegedly took place in late '70's
Playboy model. Cosby invited her to a Christmas Eve dinner where he cornered her alone in the guesthouse, groped her, and tried to kiss her. But she fended him off.
Butterfield was just 22 when she first met Cosby and was invited to spend Christmas at his home shortly after she appeared in the November 1977 issue of Playboy Magazine.
'He said to me that he had saw my picture in the magazine and thought I was very beautiful,' she explained in an interview set to be screened on CI on Thursday.
'He heard that I was an aspiring actress. And he says, "How would you like to join me and my family for Christmas Eve dinner in Massachusetts?"'
'I was in the guest house and I was alone,' she said. 'Bill Cosby wrapped his arms around me, grabbed me by my hair and pulled me back.
'And he was attempting to kiss me, groping me, not just my breasts. He felt pretty entitled to touch me in parts that he had no right to.'
Shockingly, the comedian ignored her pleas to stop – even when she reminded him that his wife Camille and children Erika, Erinn, Ensa, Evin, and Ennis were nearby.
'I said, "Stop. Get off me." I said, "Your family is here,"' remembers Butterfield. 'What was I gonna say? His intentions were to prey on me and to sexually assault me in his home on Christmas Eve.
BEVERLY JOHNSON - 2014
Came forward in 2014 | Abuse allegedly took place in '80's
In a first-person essay for Vanity Fair, model Beverly Johnson accuses Cosby of drugging her in the mid-1980s but says she doesn't believe she was raped. She later tells ABC News, "I knew that I was in danger. I knew that this was not a recreational drug of any kind ... I was really afraid. I was afraid for my life."
“Imagine my joy in the mid-80s when an agent called to say Bill Cosby wanted me to audition for a role on the The Cosby Show. After the taping I met all the cast and then met with Cosby in his office to talk a bit about the hell I’d been through in my marriage. He appeared concerned and then asked what I wanted from my career going forward. He seemed genuinely interested in guiding me to the next level. I was on cloud nine.Cosby asked if I could meet him at his home that weekend to read for the part. My ex-husband had primary custody of my daughter at the time, and I usually spent my weekends with her. Cosby suggested I bring her along, which really reeled me in. He was the Jell-O Pudding man; like most kids, my daughter loved him. When my daughter and I visited Cosby’s New York brownstone, his staff served us a delicious brunch. Then he gave us a tour of the exceptional multi-level home.
Looking back, that first invite from Cosby to his home seems like part of a perfectly laid out plan, a way to make me feel secure with him at all times. It worked like a charm. Cosby suggested I come back to his house a few days later to read for the part. I agreed, and one late afternoon the following week I returned. His staff served a light dinner and Bill and I talked more about my plans for the future.
Cosby said he wanted to see how I handled various scenes, so he suggested that I pretend to be drunk. (When did a pregnant woman ever appear drunk on The Cosby Show? Probably never, but I went with it.)
As I readied myself to be the best drunk I could be, he offered me a cappuccino from the espresso machine. I told him I didn’t drink coffee that late in the afternoon because it made getting to sleep at night more difficult. He wouldn’t let it go. He insisted that his espresso machine was the best model on the market and promised I’d never tasted a cappuccino quite like this one.
It’s nuts, I know, but it felt oddly inappropriate arguing with Bill Cosby so I took a few sips of the coffee just to appease him.
Now let me explain this: I was a top model during the 70s, a period when drugs flowed at parties and photo shoots like bottled water at a health spa. I’d had my fun and experimented with my fair share of mood enhancers. I knew by the second sip of the drink Cosby had given me that I’d been drugged—and drugged good.
My head became woozy, my speech became slurred, and the room began to spin nonstop. Cosby motioned for me to come over to him as though we were really about to act out the scene. He put his hands around my waist, and I managed to put my hand on his shoulder in order to steady myself.
As I felt my body go completely limp, my brain switched into automatic-survival mode. That meant making sure Cosby understood that I knew exactly what was happening at that very moment.
“You are a motherfucker aren’t you?”
That’s the exact question I yelled at him as he stood there holding me, expecting me to bend to his will. I rapidly called him several more “motherfuckers.” By the fifth, I could tell that I was really pissing him off. At one point he dropped his hands from my waist and just stood there looking at me like I’d lost my mind.
What happened next is somewhat cloudy for me because the drug was in fuller play by that time. I recall his seething anger at my tirade and then him grabbing me by my left arm hard and yanking all 110 pounds of me down a bunch of stairs as my high heels clicked and clacked on every step. I feared my neck was going to break with the force he was using to pull me down those stairs. It was still late afternoon and the sun hadn’t completely gone down yet. When we reached the front door, he pulled me outside of the brownstone and then, with his hand still tightly clenched around my arm, stood in the middle of the street waving down taxis.
When one stopped, Cosby opened the door, shoved me into it and slammed the door behind me without ever saying a word. I somehow managed to tell the driver my address and before blacking out, I looked at the cabbie and asked, as if he knew: “Did I really just call Bill Cosby ‘a motherfucker’?”
The next day I woke up in my own bed after falling into a deep sleep that lasted most of the day. I had no memory of how I got into my apartment or into my bed, though most likely my doorman helped me out.
JUDY HUTH - 2014
Came forward in 2014 | Abuse allegedly took place in '80's
Dec. 2, 2014 Judy Huth files a civil lawsuit against Cosby, alleging that he forced her to perform a sex act in 1974 at the Playboy Mansion when she was 15. He fires back with a lawsuit, saying she is lying and trying to extort him.Dec. 16, 2014 The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office declines to charge Bill Cosby in response to the Huth allegations, citing the statute of limitations.
According to Huth's lawsuit, she and a friend met Cosby on the set of a movie he was filming; he invited them to his tennis club the following weekend. There, he served them "multiple alcoholic drinks," then took them to a party at the Playboy Mansion. Huth alleges that at the party, Cosby molested her by putting his hand down her pants, and then taking her hand and using it to "perform a sex act on himself."
Huth was able to file the suit because of a special rule that California applies to lawsuits arising out of childhood sexual abuse. In most states, lawsuits must be filed within just a few years of the events that gave rise to them. However, in California, lawsuits arising out of childhood sexual abuse can be filed within three years of the date when the victim discovers that the sexual abuse has caused a psychological injury or illness. Huth's suit alleges that it has been less than three years since she discovered that her psychological injuries were the result of Cosby's actions.

JOYCE EMMONS - 2014
Came forward in 2014 | Abuse allegedly took place in late '70's
Comedy club manager, met cosby in 77-78 in Las Vegas. He made a pass at her but she said no and they were immediate friends. She says he gave her a white pill he described as “just a little stronger than tylenol” for a headache. She woke up naked with cosbys friend, who she had rebuffed the night before. She confronted both men, and cosby admitted that he gave her a Quaalude, and laughed at her. “He was wonderful to me. I never thought he would do that.”
Emmons says she and Cosby struck up a friendship in the late 1970s. Whenever he was in Las Vegas performing, she often drove there with friends or employees from her comedy club and stayed with Cosby in his massive suite on the 30th floor of Caesars Palace. Not long after they met, Emmons claims he asked her: “Do you do cocaine or any other drugs?” then proceeded to show her a dresser drawer full of “pills and cocaine.”
Emmons says she never once saw Cosby even “take a drink.” She alleged he told her: “I always keep drugs, not for me but for my friends who want to do them.”
On several of Emmons’s trips to Las Vegas to hang with Cosby, they were sometimes joined by one of his pals, a Midwest businessman who Emmons says often “hit on” her. His advances weren’t appreciated, recalls Emmons, who says she finally told Cosby, “You need to tell him to leave me alone.”
Late one night around 4 a.m. during one of her visits, she and a group of Cosby’s friends made their way back to the main room of his suite. Emmons, who was suffering from a splitting headache, told the comedian she needed “three Tylenol” for the pain, she says. “Bill said, ‘I have something for you. It’s a little strong,’ ” recalls Emmons. “I told him, ‘Bill, you know I don’t do drugs. Don’t give me anything like that.’ And his words were, ‘You’re my good friend. Would I do something to hurt you?’ ”
Emmons claims she lost consciousness within minutes. Sometime around 3 p.m. the next day she says she woke up in her bedroom without any clothes on with Cosby’s friend beside her. “Did you have fun?” she recalls the man asking her. Furious, she got dressed, grabbed her suitcase and stormed out of her room. On the way out of the suite, she spotted Cosby.
“What the hell did you give me?” she says she demanded. “Bill told me, ‘It was just a Quaalude. You said you had a bad headache and I knew that would help.’ ”

Alleges that she met Cosby in '73 at a celebrity tennis tournament, where he followed her and her friends around. Says he grabbed her breasts.
I was attending Clint Eastwood’s Celebrity Tennis Tournament in Pebble Beach, CA with two of my friends. Bill followed us around all day on Saturday. He found us again on Saturday night, even though we had changed restaurants several times to avoid him. At first we thought it was alright because it was daytime and it was Bill Cosby. We felt we were safe. But then when he found us in the last restaurant he approached me from behind and reached over my shoulder and grabbed my right breast. I was stunned and angry because he had no right to do that and I did not know why he would behave that way. His behavior was like that of a predator.

Chelan Lasha was 17 in 1986 when she went to Bill Cosby’s suite at the Las Vegas Hilton, after, she said, he told her he could help with her modeling career. She wet her hair to pose for modeling shots at Mr. Cosby’s request. Then he offered her what he said was an antihistamine to help her cold, and some almond liqueur. She took both, Ms. Lasha told a courtroom on Wednesday, because “I trusted him.”
Then, she said: “He laid me on the bed; I could not move any more after that. He kept pinching my breast and humping my leg. Waking up, I was naked.”
When it was over, Ms. Lasha said, Mr. Cosby told her, “Daddy said wake up,” before pushing her out the door.

Casting agent and actress was dating Sammy Davis Jr when Cosby asked her for a ride to a party. When she arrived to pick him up, he was wearing a robe and he raped her. The whole thing took 60 seconds. She never confronted him, or told Sammy or the police.
“He just assumed, I’m Bill Cosby. I’m the number one star in the world. I can do what I want, take what I want. That’s the way it’s been in this business.”
"I remember I walked in the door, and he had a robe and cap on. He took the ribs from my hands and just grabbed me," McKee said, adding, "He spun me around, pulled my panties down, and just took it. We were still standing at the door when he attacked me. It was so fast and so shocking and so unbelievable."
"I figured, 'If I don't think about it, it won't bother me.' Of course, with all these women surfacing now, it flushed it out," McKee told the paper.
McGee, an actress and former Las Vegas showgirl, appeared on "The Bill Cosby Show" in 1971 prior to the alleged attack and "Sanford and Son" in 1972. McKee said she knew Cosby for about eight years before the alleged incident occurred. She later became a Hollywood casting agent.

she was in her 20s and working at Playboy's famous Chicago club in the late 1970s when she met the star, who then invited her out to lunch.
The comedian called the next day, asking her out to dinner and to meet her at the Whitehall Hotel. Masten went up to his room – not suspicious at all, she said – and four of Cosby’s friends were with him watching sports, smoking cigars and playing cards.
Cosby asked Masten if she wanted a cocktail before dinner, preparing a glass of Grand Marnier and ice behind her. She took it and drank it, she said.
“The next thing I knew, it was 4 o’clock in the morning,” she alleged. “I woke up in a bed naked, bruised. He was laying next to me, and I slithered out of the bed… I got myself together, I went downstairs, I got in a cab, and I went home.”
Asked by CNN’s Camerota what she think happened, Masten didn’t hesitate.
“There were bruise marks all over me,” she claimed. “I knew I was raped.”
“(There are) 12 former bunnies that I know of that are ashamed to come forward, frightened to come forward, married with families (and) don’t want to come forward.” Masten said. “But they were also drugged and raped by Bill Cosby.”

LINDA KIRKPATRICK - 2015
Came forward in 2015 | Abuse allegedly took place in 1981
Met cosby at tennis tournament in LV 1981. Alleges he invited her to his show where he gave her a drink. Says she remembers her kissing him in his dressing her. He later apologized and invited her back, only to grab and kiss her again.
In 1981, I was 25, living in Las Vegas, Nevada, with my family. I was participating in a mixed doubles tennis tournament at Cambridge Racquet Club. One of my opponents in the tennis draw was Bill Cosby and a young female tennis player from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. I had never met either Cosby or his partner prior to this tournament but was told by the club staff that Cosby was mentoring the UNLV player. Prior to the onset of the match, across the net, Cosby said “If my partner & I win this match, then we win. But if you (meaning myself) and your partner win the match, then I’ll treat you both to my show tonight as my guests. Front row seats.”
She was invited back to the dressing room where there was a party with celebrities. Cosby handed me a tall, thin champagne type of glass with a clear liquid in it and with what appeared to be red fruit in the bottom. I drank several sips of the clear liquid drink I had been handed by Cosby; however didn’t recognize the taste. It wasn’t champagne and it tasted terrible. I recall drinking approximately ½ of the glass. The next thing I remember I was sitting on a large plastic box in a very dark room where the spotlight was being operated by a man (more a room than a booth). The walls were completely blacked out. I was sitting to the right of the man operating the spotlight. I do not know how I got to the spotlight booth/room. The blond woman from LA was sitting next to me. I asked “why are we sitting up here and not at the show?” I was told this is where Cosby wanted us to sit. My next recollection was being back in the dressing room alone with Cosby. I was lying down. Cosby was on top of me kissing me forcefully. I had no interest in sex of any kind with Bill Cosby nor did I expect or want anything from him when I accepted his invitation to the show. I only expected a seat to the show as offered by him.
The next day, he offered to make it up to her. He invited her back to his dressing room where he allegedly once again tried to kiss her. Kirkpatrick pushed him away and left.
He grabbed me from the front, locked me in an aggressive hug, with his arms wrapped around my back and forcefully tried to kiss me. He held so tightly against his body that it was obvious he was sexually aroused. I said “Stop it! No! Let me go!” and managed to get myself out of his grip and pushed him away. I left the hotel. The following day I told my family what happened.

Bill Cosby jokes to woman: 'You have to be careful about drinking around me' - 2015
A woman in the audience at his show got up from one of the front rows and walked past the stage was asked by Cosby where she was going. When she answered that she was going to the lobby to grab a drink, Cosby responded: “You have to be careful about drinking around me.” The remark was met with loud applause.
KELLY JOHNSON (AKA "KACEY") - 2015
Came forward in 2015 | Abuse allegedly took place in '90's
She met Cosby while working with a talent agency. They had a cordial, professional relationship, but when she met with Cosby for lunch at his hotel, he gave her a white pill to help her relax. She woke up later in a bed with Cosby wearing only an open robe.
Kelly began working for William Morris in April 1990 and was assistant to Cosby’s late agent, Tom Illius. According to Johnson, Illius has a reputation for being ‘difficult’ to work with but she had found a way to do so.
she established a friendly relationship with Cosby. The star took to calling her at home, asking after her family, invited her parents and siblings to a show of his in Las Vegas. They were not intimate she claimed.
He had told her he wanted to discuss ‘lighting, set blocking and camera angles,’ - none of them things in which she claimed to have expressed any interest.
She recalled that he answered the door dressed in a bathrobe and slippers.
she said, he suggested they read a scene from a script together.
She said: ‘He directed me to a kitchen and he put the dinner down and then we went back into a den area where he did have a television set up and videotape to show me some television show he was going to use to explain to me the idea of set blocking and all that.
‘He had me read a scene from a script. The scene was between a man and a woman and the woman had to be a little tipsy. He was standing by the desk and I was to approach and the scene was to end with an embrace between the man and the woman and a kiss.’
According to Johnson she was no actress and deeply uncomfortable with the scene which Cosby insisted on repeating ‘again and again and again and again.’ But each time she turned her face from him rather than accept his kiss.
He tried to get her to drink wine but she described herself as ‘not much of a drinker.’
As she described her increasing discomfort her voice trembled and she clutched a tissue as she related how he told her ‘You look like you need to relax.’
Mining her memory she said ‘He held his hand like this, ‘she clenched her first before her. ‘He opened his hand and there was a big white pill in his palm.’
Under extreme duress Johnson said she decided to feign taking it, intending to hide it under her tongue and spit it out in the bathroom.
But when she pretended to swallow it with water he offered her wine and said: ‘Open your mouth. Lift up your tongue. And I did and there it was.’
She then swallowed.
Soon, she said she felt ‘underwater.’
She lost consciousness she said and when she came to she was in the bedroom, on the bed, her dress pulled up from the bottom and her breasts exposed. Cosby was lying behind her and she could hear ‘grunting sounds’
Weeping Johnson also remembered a bottle of lotion on the bed stand. She said: ‘He put lotion in my hand. He made me touch his penis.’
a William Morris assistant, Johnson said she felt ‘intimidated’ by Cosby and afraid. She felt in some way complicit, as Cosby had asked her not to tell her boss that she was meeting him outside the office and yet she had done so.
The next time she was in the office she said that, as an assistant who was tasked with listening to her boss’s telephone calls and making notes, she was on the line when Cosby called Tom Illius on his private line.
She stated that she heard him describe her as ‘a problem’ that had to be ‘dealt with.’
According to Johnson she called her mother who told her to go to HR and lodge a complaint. When she did so she was, she said ‘a mess.’ And was told to go home for the rest of the day. She stated that she never returned to William Morris though she did end up embroiled in a workers compensation case prior to being terminated from the company.

“When we arrived at Mr. Cosby’s suite he handed me a record album. Then he said, “do you mind waiting while I make a quick phone call?” He then went into the other room, got me a soft drink and then he said he needed to make his call. I took a sip and blacked out. When I awakened I was naked in the bed beside him. I had no idea how my clothes came off or how and why I was in his bed. I was shocked and had no clue as to how I got there or why Mr. Cosby was beside me under the covers naked. I couldn’t move or speak. I felt paralyzed. He flipped me over and sexually 2 assaulted me. She believed she was going to do another audition, but instead, she was taken to Cosby's dressing room, the Associated Press reported.
Cosby handed her a drink and stood with his crotch in her face, she said.
"I never thought of myself as a victim because I refused his advances," Gumpel said. "But my career was a victim."
Gumpel added that she was speaking out now because of Cosby's arrogance toward the more than a dozen women who have accused him of sexual assault, the Boston Globe reported.

Aspiring actress and model in late 80’s, says she fended off sexual advances from cosby, and he once gave her $700 after she performed a sex act. Her parents say they met with hm when their daughter was 17 and that he promised to help their daughter, saying she would be fine living in an apartment with other models as she launched her career.
March 10, 2015 Model Jennifer Thompson tells the AP that Cosby pursued her aggressively and once gave her $700 after she performed a sex act on him. Former Cosby attorney Marty Singer does not immediately respond to Thompson's claims but calls the flood of similar allegations "unsubstantiated."
17-year-old in 1988 who visited a New York City modeling agency and was sent right away to meet Cosby at the height of his fame on The Cosby Show. Cosby later met her parents and gave them his assurance that he would help the aspiring model from Maryland launch her career.
But that interest quickly devolved, Thompson says, into uncomfortable advances by Cosby that collapsed her expectations, beliefs and self-esteem for decades.
“he knew on some level that I was probably ready to give in.”
“He put his leg between my two legs, but I wasn’t excited. But I knew that that was the point – I had to get him excited. …The whole thing was like – I just knew that I gave him a hand job.”
Cosby told her where to find lotion in the house, she claims, and she got it. “I’m like a robot, and that is what I became, and that is what I did for him,” she said, adding that before leaving, Cosby gave her $700.

After hearing similar allegations, she concluded something nefarious had happened to her.

AUTUMN BURNS - 2015
Came forward in 2015 | Abuse allegedly took place in 1970
Working in Las Vegas casino when cosby invited her to his suite. He gave her a drink (laced) and forced her to have sex with him.
It was about 1970 and I was 24 years old and living in Las Vegas when I met Bill Cosby. I was a game starter at the Sahara and he liked to play the tables. I was also doing television commercials at that time. One night at the International Hotel (now the Hilton) Mr. Cosby approached me and introduced himself. He gave me $500 and said that I should come to his show later. In the meantime I could gamble or do whatever I wanted to do with the money that evening.
After the show I went up to his suite with him and he made me a drink of scotch on the rocks. I relaxed in the living room and had a cigarette. He told me to take my time and finish my drink while he went into his bedroom. He then called me into the bedroom but I delayed because I was not comfortable going into the bedroom. I started feeling woozy and not in control. When I finally got up and went into the bedroom the first thing I remember thinking is how his naked body looked on the white sheets. He told me to sit on the edge of the bed. When I did he grabbed me by the back of my neck and stuck his erect penis down my throat. I remember my head was being pounded up and down and then he lifted me on top of him and had sex with me. When he was done I knew I had to leave the room and get home. I felt like everyone on the casino floor was staring at me and had known what happened. The only person I ever told about the rape was my baccarat boss.

She goes on, "He took his hands and put them on the back of my head and forced his penis in my mouth, saying, 'Have a taste of this. It will do you good in so many ways.'"
She says as Cosby walked out he turned and said, "Now you don't want to upset me and the plans for your future, do you?"

Said that she met Cosby in reno 1984 during a 4 day coaching lesson on acting. He asked her to pretend to be intoxicated and he gave her a drink. She woke up with him naked and forcing himself onto her.
Thomas said after Cosby talked to her and her parents, they made arrangements for her to see him in Reno, Nevada, where he was performing at Harrah’s. Thomas said she thought she’d be staying in the hotel but when a driver picked her up at the airport on April 2, 1984, he drove her to a house far outside the outskirts of the city.
There, Thomas says, Cosby encouraged her to take a sip of wine so she could accurately portray someone who was intoxicated.
“After that I don’t remember. I have little snapshots of the next four days after that.”
In one snapshot, Thomas said, she wakes up on a bed. She had her clothes on but Cosby was naked. “He was forcing himself into my mouth,” she said. “And I remember thinking I felt sick and ‘How did I get here?’“ In the next one, Cosby was at the head of the bed and her head was at the foot of his bed.
“I heard his voice saying—and he always referred to himself in the third person or as ‘Mr. C’ or ‘your friend’—he said, ‘Your friend is going to cum again.’ And I’m thinking, ‘How did I get here? This isn’t what I’m here for.’”
Thomas said she went home after that weekend without ever confronting Cosby or telling anyone else what happened.

Next, her roommates found her unconscious in her car after Cosby "secretly drugged" her and that she didn't wake up until the next evening.
"I didn't tell anyone for a long time, only a few close friends and family," Neal said in her statement. "I thought, 'Who would believe me, that Bill Cosby was a serial rapist that used drugs to assault unsuspecting young women?'"

Mays was a writer. She says she invited Cosby to her hotel room to talk, where he allegedly mixed a drink for her. After she took two large swigs of the drink, she reportedly claims, “The next thing I remember when I awoke from my state of unconsciousness, I seemed to have been drooling and was sloppily slouched in the chair with barely the edge of my bottom in it.”
According to Mays, she opened her eyes to find her shirt and bra undone and her breasts exposed. She also says her belt had been “unhooked and re-hooked, left loose around my hips.”

July 6th, 2015
Court documents from Constand's 2005 lawsuit are released, in which Cosby admitted to giving a woman Quaaludes. Cosby said he obtained the drugs with the idea that he would give them to a woman with whom he wanted to have sex. The release follows a court battle in which Constand filed a motion to have the deposition unsealed because Cosby violated a nondisclosure agreement by responding to the newly surfaced allegations.

COLLEN HUGHES - 2015
Came forward in 2015 | Abuse allegedly took place in '70's
Former flight attendant, met Cosby on a flight to LA in the 70’s. Said she was at a hotel room when he gave her champagne. She woke up several hours later, cosby gone.
the comedian “flirted with me the entire flight” and invited her to lunch in Beverly Hills when they landed.
According to Hughes, the two went to her hotel room so she could shower and change clothes and, when she emerged, Cosby had ordered champagne and appetizers. Hughes claimed that Cosby was drinking champagne out of her shoe (high heels). There were also glasses of champagne, Hughes said, and Cosby handed her one. The last thing Hughes claimed to remember was Cosby attempting to hold her hand, after which she woke up hours later.
“My clothes were thrown all over the room and I felt semen on the small of my back and all over me,” Hughes said. “Bill obviously did not use a condom and there was no lunch and he was nowhere to be seen.”
Hughes claimed that, approximately a year later, she encountered Cosby on another flight. When she reminded the comedian of the alleged incident, Hughes said, Cosby “turned pale and said ‘did you ever report that to anyone?'” She replied that she had not.
LINDA RIDGEWAY WHITEDEAR - 2015
Came forward in 2015 | Abuse allegedly took place in '70's
The 70’s actress, said Cosby assaulted her in an office as he interviewed her for a part.
“I had just started out as an actress and Cosby met me, so I followed him down a corridor. He opened the door, and there was this chair and it was just right in the doorway, like out of place. And I thought he was going to move it out of the way.
“Instead, he said, ‘Have a seat.’ And he seemed to be in a hurry. I never got to move because his hand came around to the back of my head and as I looked up, he was exposing his genitals and he was right in my face.”
“I don’t want to get graphic, but you know when you’re shocked you open your mouth a little bit. And that was my mistake. And then he just made this horrible mess all over me. And the hardest part was he gloated over my humiliation. And he reached into his pocket.
“He had, like, a big wad of Kleenex and he started cleaning me up. He was dabbing at me and by this time, I’ve closed my eyes because I really think I’m going to faint, and he said, ‘I’ve blessed you now. You know you’ve been blessed.’”
CHLOE GOINS - 2015
Came forward in 2015 | Abuse allegedly took place in 2008
Chloe Goins, a 25-year-old Las Vegas model and one of the youngest women to come forward, files a lawsuit against Cosby, claiming he drugged and assaulted her in 2008 when she was a teenager.
She alleges she was 18 when Cosby allegedly drugged her at a Playboy party. She believes he spiked her drink and after consuming it, she “immediately began feeling sick to her stomach and dizzy,” according to the lawsuit. She said that she awoke to find Cosby, now 78, masturbating and biting her toes and that her body was wet as though she had been licked.
Goins’ lawsuit accuses Cosby of sexual battery, gender violence and intentional emotional distress. It accuses Hefner of conspiracy.
CINDRA LADD - 2015
Came forward in 2015 | Abuse allegedly took place in 1969
Cindra Ladd, a philanthropist and former entertainment executive who is married to former Fox and MGM/UA chief Alan Ladd Jr., wrote in an op-ed piece published in the Huffington Post on Monday morning that the comedian drugged her and had sex with her when she was 21.
Wife of former 20th Century Fox President Alan Ladd Jr., said 11/26/15 that in 1969 she had a headache and he offered a “miracle cure”. The next morning, she woke up naked at a friend’s apartment, Cosby wearing a white bathrobe.
He asked for my number and I gave it to him. We began hanging out, took in a movie, watched television and ate pizza and hot dogs in my apartment with my roommate. He was married to his current wife, and he acted like a perfect gentleman who didn't come on to either of us, which, I have to admit, made me wonder what his objective was.
One night we were going out to a movie. We agreed to meet at an apartment that he said belonged to a friend of his. I had a terrible headache but didn't want to cancel the evening. He told me he had a miracle cure his doctor had given him that would get rid of the headache. He went into another room and came back with a capsule. I asked a couple of times what it was. Each time he reassured me, asking, "Don't you trust me?" Of course I did. This was Bill Cosby.
I don't remember where the theater was nor very much of the evening.
What I do recall, vividly and clearly, is waking up the next morning nude in the bed of his friend's apartment and seeing Cosby wearing a white terrycloth bathrobe and acting as if there was nothing unusual. It was obvious to me that he had had sex with me. I was horrified, embarrassed and ashamed. There was a mirror above the bed, which shocked me further.
After some awkward small talk, I got out of there as fast as I could. Once in the elevator, I broke down crying, which I continued to do as I walked home to my apartment in the east 70s. It never occurred to me to go to the police. It was a different time and "date rape" was a concept that didn't exist. I just kept asking myself over and over in disbelief why this had happened to me. Other than my roommate, I did not discuss that night with anyone for 36 years.

PATRICIA LEARY STEUR - 2015
Came forward in 2015 | Abuse allegedly took place in 1978
Met cosby in 1978 at age 22. She saw him speak at an educator’s conference at her University and the following day she saw him and thanked him for his speech. He invited her to a banquet that evening for a drink and he expressed interest in helping her launch a singing career. Then invited her to a dinner party which ended up just being the two of them. She got sick after half a drink and woke up naked in bed with cosby standing over her, told her she got sick and that he had to wash her dress.
“And I believed him. I was so humiliated I thought I had embarrassed myself. I thought he’d never call again.”
Went to 2 events with him without incident until one day she arrived to visit his penthouse suite and he wouldn’t let her in the door until she took a little white pill to “relax her”. She passed out and woke up feeling as if she had been penetrated.
This time she confronted him, and he called her ungrateful and they never spoke again.
When I was a recent graduate from the University of Massachusetts with a music degree in voice, I was introduced to him and he discovered that I was a singer," Steuer said of meeting Cosby. "And he offered to mentor me in my career.Steuer, who was 22 at the time, said Cosby invited her to a dinner party at his home.
"When I arrived we were the only people there and there were two place settings on a coffee table in front of a big fireplace," she said. "He offered me a drink, which he fixed in the other room. I never saw him fix the drink."
The next thing Steuer remembers was Cosby shaking her awake.
"The next thing I remember is he's waking me up roughly," she said. "I'm sicker than I've ever been in my life. I'm naked and I said 'What happened?' He's standing over me in a bathrobe with a toothbrush, telling me I needed to leave his home."
Steuer said for most of her life she thought she was the only one. But then other women started coming forward.

May 24, 2016 Cosby is ordered to stand trial in the sexual assault case by Montgomery County Magisterial District Court Judge Elizabeth McHugh. He waives a formal arraignment and thus enters a plea of not guilty.
July 18, 2016 Cosby is now completely blind, a source close to him tells Page Six. He has suffered from a degenerative eye condition called keratoconus, which causes the cornea to bulge.
Sept. 9, 2016 For the first time in the Constand case, Cosby's lawyers claim racism, the AP reports. "Mr. Cosby is no stranger to discrimination and racial hatred," they say in a statement. "When the media repeats her accusations — with no evidence, no trial and no jury — we are moved backwards as a country and away from the America that our civil rights leaders sacrificed so much to create."
2017
May 25, 2017 Jury selection ends two days after it began. The jury, which was selected from Allegheny County residents, consists of seven men and five women.
June 17, 2017 The criminal case against Cosby ends in a mistrial. After six days of deliberation, the seven man, five woman jury was unable to render a unanimous verdict on any of the three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault with which Cosby had been charged. Prosecutor Kevin R. Steele, the Montgomery County District Attorney who filed the charges, announces shortly after the mistrial that his office would retry the case.
Aug. 1, 2017 Brian McMonagle, Cosby’s lead defense attorney in his first trial, files a motion with the court to withdraw as defense counsel.
Aug. 21, 2017 In a tweet Cosby introduces his new legal team: Los Angeles celebrity trial attorney Thomas Mesereau, who successfully defended Michael Jackson against child molestation charges in 2005; Kathleen Bliss, who spent 22 years as a federal prosecutor in Oklahoma, Washington D.C, New Mexico and Nevada; and Samuel Silver, a Philadelphia attorney.
2018
Jan. 26, 2018 Cosby’s attorneys file an explosive motion seeking to have his case dismissed, accusing prosecutors of withholding and destroying evidence that could have helped the comedian at trial.
April 2, 2018 Cosby's second trial begins. He's charged with drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his suburban Pennsylvania home during a visit she made there in 2004. Cosby has denied the charge and says any sexual encounters with the former Temple University women's basketball administrator were consensual. Judge Steven T. O’Neill -- the same judge from the first trial -- allowed five additional women who accused Cosby of drugging and molesting them to take the stand as prosecution witnesses to corroborate Constand’s account.
April 9, 2018 For first time ever, the prosecution publicly said the 80-year-old Cosby paid his primary accuser $3.38 million in exchange for her silence about him allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting her.
April 25, 2018 The jury begins their deliberation.
COSBY IS CONVICTED
April 26, 2018 Cosby was convicted on three felony counts of aggravated indecent assault in the case involving Constand and two others.
June 15, 2018 Cosby fired all seven attorneys on his legal team just months ahead of his September sentencing, replacing them with a single Pennsylvania criminal-defense lawyer. Cosby, who's on house arrest, hired attorney Joseph P. Green Jr. to represent him going forward, according to the former comedian's spokesman Andrew Wyatt.
Sept. 25, 2018 The judge sentenced Cosby to three to 10 years in state prison after the octogenarian was designated a "sexually violent predator." O'Neill sentenced Cosby in a Norristown, Pennsylvania, courtroom, and then denied bail during pending appeals, capping a two-day hearing attended by about a dozen women who accused Cosby of sexual assault, including Constand, whom he was convicted of assaulting. O'Neill ordered Cosby to serve the sentence in "total confinement" for "no less than three years and no more than 10 years."
CONVICTION IS OVERTURNED
June 30, 2021 The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania overturned Cosby's conviction, finding that the comedian should not have been charged or sentenced due to his agreement with a prosecutor. He was released from State Correctional Institution Phoenix in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, that afternoon.
The defense argued that Cosby never should have been tried in the first place due to a non-prosecution deal -- never put in writing -- with a previous district attorney that prompted the comedian to sit for a deposition in a civil lawsuit. In that deposition, Cosby testified about sexual encounters with women to whom he had offered Quaaludes.
It should be noted that this does not mean Cosby was deemed to be innocent. It's more like an administrative error, like he was offered immunity for giving himself up (as stupid as that sounds).
